NDP comes up with 30-point plan that includes new housing, tax changes

Dear Editor: At today’s listed price for heavy oil delivered in Asia, Alberta bitumen would get about $2 more than if it were delivered to the key U.S. hub.

I am the mother of that screaming kid on the airplane you’ve been reading so much about. You know, the one whose “demonic” wails tortured passengers on a Lufthansa flight from Germany to New Jersey last summer.

Dear Editor: I am writing in response to the cartoon you featured in the editorial section of your paper protesting the MeToo movement. To the editor of this paper, I say shame on you for printing it.

It is telling that the words “Kinder Morgan” and “pipeline” were not contained in this week’s throne speech, an indication perhaps that the B.C. NDP government is trying to cool down emotions on the pipeline issue.

After decades of sniggers about it being “high time” to legalize marijuana, and winks about 4/20 celebrations, the world of weed is ditching the jokes about reefer madness and going mainstream.

It is telling that the words “Kinder Morgan” and “pipeline” were not contained in this week’s Throne Speech, an indication perhaps that the B.C. NDP government is trying to cool down emotions on the pipeline issue.

It’s possible that two politicians on opposite sides of a dispute might both be completely disingenuous. That doesn’t preclude one of them from being right.

Democracy requires more than just holding elections. Under this criteria alone, Iran and North Korea would be considered democracies.

Dear Editor: Re: B.C. government is right on pipeline expansion, Letters to the editor, Burnaby NOW , Feb. 7. So, here we have another fearmongering person in our midst.
