Dear Editor: Three words, beautiful British Columbia, are written on every license plate in the Province. This description is a testament to the extensive natural beauty that can be found in every corner of British Columbia.

Dear Editor: Re: Pipeline is near schools, Burnaby NOW, Nov. 28. I, too, am a parent concerned about the Kinder-Morgan pipeline's effect on Burnaby schools.

Joyce Murray is driven - and that's not a bad thing. The current Vancouver MP, and former New Westminster MLA, has thrown her hat into the federal Liberal leadership race and those who underestimate her may be surprised.

A lot of people won't be happy that the man at the centre of a high-profile animal cruelty court case isn't going to jail. Animal rights advocates have made their feelings known about the need for a stiff sentence throughout the court process.

Dear Editor: Re: Environmental issues growing, Letters to the Editor, Burnaby NOW, Nov. 23. Mr. Victor Finberg is certainly consistent in the way he is pursuing his passion of choice.

Adults, unfortunately, don't often listen to children. And, also unfortunately, when they do, they aren't always great listeners. It's a shame, because what children can tell us is incredibly valuable.

Dear Editor: The next election is inevitably going to be a discussion of what to do with what little money is left to the provincial government.

Dear Editor: Who doesn't enjoy watching a good soap opera? With a dedicated group of followers, these shows can continue on for decades.

Dear Editor: In the wake of Superstorm Sandy, it is time for us to reevaluate our head-in-the-sand position on global warming/climate change.

Dedicated staff and volunteers at Burnaby Hospital have served our community for decades. Unfortunately, over time the hospital has been neglected and is now in desperate physical condition. Conditions for patients are equally desperate.
