Dear Editor: We've had the Olympic Games, now we've got the annual Telus Games where the future of your bill is a mystery.

Dear Editor: According to Education Minister Peter Fassbender, a teacher attending a district meeting obtained a document outlining a B.C. Teachers' Federation strike plan and passed it on to the government.

If you’re anything like me, “family-friendly” wasn’t a concept that really meant much to you until you had a child. Then, suddenly, you realized what all those other people were talking about – and how important it is.

On the one hand, this is good news. On the other hand, we wonder why it has taken so long to initiate a safety plan for schools near, or built on, pipelines.

Here are the results and the letter to parents regarding the soil testing at Stoney Creek Elementary. The testing was done last summer, after parents and staff were raising concerns about the pipeline being so cose to the school.

Ageism shows up in many aspects of seniors' lives, including condescension, arbitrary rules of retirement and a general attitude of treating seniors as less than equal. Unfortunately, ageism also manifests itself in B.C. driving rules for seniors.

Dear Editor: Re: Skyscraper stirs debate, Burnaby NOW, Feb. 28. I empathize with the concerns of some residents of the Brentwood neighbourhood about the redevelopment of the Brentwood Mall by Shape Properties.

Dear Editor: It seems that if you are not in synch or inline with the mayor of Burnaby's pet projects you are labelled "political." This is curious, especially coming from the mayor of Burnaby, who is one of the savviest "politicals" around.
