Editor: To each and every employee of the Burnaby School District: While we know that these times have been anything but simple, we are writing to share a simple word: thanks.

“We’re all in this together.” That’s the message I see painted on windows all over Metro Vancouver. Well, not everyone. Some people are only out for themselves – creating a dangerous situation.

People laughed and choked on their morning coffee recently when it was reported that Airbnb actually had the gall to lobby the Canadian government for financial relief and tax breaks for its hosts.

The Editor, The incident of the assault on the Skytrain is most disheartening in a time we should be working together as Canadians.

There’s been a lot of talk about regular folks struggling to pay the rent to their landlords thanks to COVID-19.

Editor: The reckless acts on Burnaby’s roads continue and put us all in harm’s way. Weeks ago, I wrote to the B.C. Ministry of Transportation to warn about the speeding risks coming with empty roads. I received a polite response, but no action.
