A new COVID-19 outbreak has been declared in Burnaby, which now makes the fourth announced in the past week. A resident at George Derby Centre in Burnaby has tested positive for the virus, according to Fraser Health.

Staff and patients at Burnaby Hospital had to be evacuated late Sunday night due to a fire. Burnaby firefighters were called to the hospital just after 10 p.m. and arrived to find heavy smoke coming from several doors and windows.
