Editor: It doesn’t look good to evict Indigenous people from unceded Tsleil-Waututh territory on Burnaby Mountain on Nelson Mandela Day. It wouldn’t look good any day.

Debate the merits of the pipeline and not the people for or against it

A letter to the editor arrived recently in the NOW inbox about the importance of laneway housing. It was a good letter, but unfortunately it can’t run in the paper because it came from a candidate for the Burnaby Greens.

Editor: After reading both sides of the letters to the editor about the protest camp at Kinder Morgan, I thought I would take a drive up to it and see what it was all about. Well, to say the least it blew me away.

On March 1, 2015, a seven-week-old Burnaby girl was murdered. We can’t tell you her name because a judge has issued a publication ban.

Editor: We have lived on Burnaby Mountain in the Forest Grove area for 33 years. Our concerns about the protests taking place in our community are numerous.
