Before all you Burnaby NDP supporters jump on Liberal leader Justin Trudeau for being wishy washy or vague on his Kinder Morgan pipeline stance, I'd like to remind you Thomas Mulcair has been equally noncommittal.

Dear Editor I have a suggestion for a Plan B for TransLink. Give the transit portion back to B.C. Transit and the bridges and highways back to the provincial government. These two areas were run separately before TransLink. Everyone knows that the B.

Dear Editor With an exceptionally active and dangerous fire season predictably following a winter with no snow accumulation in the Lower Mainland, perhaps it’s time to reopen the discussion of water conservation and water metering.

There’s one in every block, isn’t there? That guy across the street who just has to keep his lawn nice and green, watering restrictions be darned, and who keeps that sprinkler going regardless of what time or day it is.

There was something almost Hollywood-like about the sky that hung over Burnaby on Sunday night. The golden-red light that glowed behind the heavy haze was eerily beautiful, in an apocalyptic, beginning-of-the-end-of-the-world sort of way.

It looks like the weather is going to cost B.C. taxpayers dearly this year, but the provincial government is still only taking baby steps when it comes to dealing with what appears to be the chaotic effects of changes in climate patterns.

Dear Editor I was shocked to read in the article the quote of TransLink’s CEO Doug Allen where he claims that “the plebiscite results were about voters rejecting a tax increase, not about the public perception of TransLink.
