Burnabarians got some crushing news last week when the City of Burnaby had to cancel the annual Heritage Christmas event due to new restrictions implemented thanks to rising COVID-19 cases.

The COVID-19 pandemic has meant changing a lot of habits for people, including me. Like, I never realized how many times I touched my face until I tried to not touch my face. It’s been a losing battle.

There is much attention being paid (and rightfully so) to the number of overdose deaths experienced in BC since the public health emergency was declared in April of 2016.

Yes, I used the word “clown” in the headline of this blog. That will offend the people who think we just need to whisper quietly to the people who refuse to follow COVID-19 protocols and recommendations from public health officials.

The Metrotown area of Burnaby is loud. So, so, so loud. And it’s going to stay loud for a long time – at least when it comes to construction noise.
